I am obsessed with homemade pesto. I love putting it in salad dressings and pasta dishes. It is seriously so good. However, I actually prefer making my pesto with walnuts instead of pinenuts. The flavor is almost a little sweeter and nuttier. This homemade pesto recipe is an easy recipe and can all be done in a high-speed blender or food processor.
Pesto is a very versatile and doesn’t require extra cream or butter for a smooth consistency. I also freeze my extra pesto so that I can enjoy it throughout the year. For freezing you can use jars or ice cube trays.

I hope you guys enjoy this homemade pesto recipe. Since the Disney movie “Luca” came out, Olivia has been asking for pasta de pesto very frequently. I’m very glad my big pot of basil is coming through.
